PROVERBS 4:1-8 (amp.), Hear, my sons, the instruction of a father, and give attention to gain and to know intelligent discernment, comprehension and interpretation (of spiritual matters). For I give you good doctrine—what is to be received; do not forsake my teaching. When I (Solomon) was a son with my father [David], tender and the only one in the sight of my mother [Bathsheba], he taught me, and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments and live.”

I CHRON. 28:9, EPH. 6:4 (amp.) Get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding—discernment, comprehension and interpretation; do not forget, and do not turn back from the words of my mouth. Forsake not [Wisdom] and she will keep, defend and protect you; love her and she will guard you. The beginning of Wisdom is, get Wisdom—skillful and godly Wisdom! For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding—discernment, comprehension and interpretation.

JAMES 1:5 (amp.), Prize Wisdom highly and exalt her, and she will exalt and promote you; she will bring you to honor when you embrace her.

First of all, you are going to have to understand what he is talking about here. He is talking about the Word of God. It says in the 8th verse. Prize Wisdom, (the Word), and highly exalt her, (the Word); and she, (the Word), will exalt and promote you; she, (the Word), will bring you to honor, when you embrace her, (the Word).

There are many people today that are promoting their products. General Motors, for example, is promoting General Motors; Amway is promoting their soap, but you know; if you promote the Word of God, and put it, (the Word), first place in your life, it, (the Word), will promote you; it, (the Word), will honor you. In the last few years as I have traveled, preaching and promoting the Word of God, the Word is surely promoting me.

What is it that you need today? What is the thing that you are believing God for? Are you promoting the Word of God, or are you promoting the circumstances that are around you? Are you promoting the problem; are you promoting the sickness; are you promoting your financial problems?

If you put the Word of God first place in your life, honor it, (the Word), exalt it, (the Word), then she, (the Word), shall exalt you and promote you.

There are many people today that are believing God for financial blessings, and raises on their job, but I’ll tell you today, my friend, that if you will promote the Word of God, it will promote you, in the line of business, or whatever you are involved in.

Is it healing that you need in your body? Promote the Word, the Bible says, I Peter 2:24, by whose stripes we were healed. (PAST TENSE)!

Is it financial blessings that you need? Promote the Word in the area of finances. The Bible says in Philip. 4:19, but my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Now, how do you promote the Word of God? It would be just like promoting a product. You eat it. You sleep it. You talk it. You advertise it. You tell everybody about it. This is the way that you promote the Word. You put it first place in your life. You meditate on it day and night, (Joshua 1:8), and as you talk the Word, and have faith-filled Words coming out of your mouth, the Word will promote you. Where ever you are in life, if you promote the Word, you surely will be promoted. Promoting something is putting it on top. God will surely put you on top.
